Centennial Blanket: Joanne Mullen reported – she is looking into having note cards created with a photo of the Centennial Blanket on it. She has spoken with a representative from Kinko’s/Fed Ex regarding printing of the note cards. After asking if any of the members would be interesting in purchasing a set of six (6) cards/envelopes – many are. She will check with a couple of other printing companies including Vistaprint on prices. The blanket was recently displayed at Tempe Yarn and Fiber at the December Fiber Artists Day.

NEW BUSINESS:  Carole Byrne reported that Tempe Yarn and Fiber has been invited by the City of Tempe to “yarn bomb” the courtyard of the Community Services Complex on Saturday, January 26 @ 1:00. The program is called “Free the Needles”. Tempe Yarn and Fiber is in need of volunteers and yarn donations. Carole will be happy to pick up any donations you may have and return them to Tempe Yarn and Fiber. Please check the membership directory for her contact info. And for further information about the “yarn bombing” go to Tempe Yarn and Fiber’s website, www.tempeyarn.com.

Also, Velvet mentioned about the spinning guild will be hosting an event at Arcosanti on Saturday, January 26. A daylong event that includes lunch for $9.00.
