COMMITTEE/CHAIR REPORTS:
Altruistic reports: Velvet Dishon dispensed yarn to continue knitting strips for blankets for Project Linus (30 stitches size 8 needles and knit with garter stitch until yarn is gone). Please return strips to Velvet by the August 6, 2012 meeting. June Whisel is still accepting yarn donations for friends that are knitting hats and scarves for altruistic projects.
Treasurer’s report: Cynthia Peplinski stated that she is now accepting membership dues for the 2012/2013 fiscal year.

OLD BUSINESS:
Newsletter: Barb Hahn is still working on it. She is accepting submissions as a word document only (no PDFs).   Please submit by 7/4/12 to Barb to be included in the next newsletter. Regina Esposito is working on 1994-1996 remembrance of the guild.
Centennial Blanket: Cara Summerfield returned the blanket and photos will be taken after the meeting for notecards. Fran Frazin will be taking the blanket to Prescott in the next week or two. After 7/28/12, the blanket will be available for presentation/display. Cast On Magazine will feature the blanket and guild in their August 2012 issue.
NEW BUSINESS:   Barb Hahn was thanked for her service to guild as past president for the last two years.
The Knit Together calendar for 2012/2013 fiscal year is wide open and a signup sheet will be going around for anyone interested in hosting a knit together. Dawn will add them to the calendar.
Francine discussed Stitch n Pitch which will be at Chase Field on 7/28/12 @5:10 – D-backs vs. NY Mets – doors open @ 3:00. Two sections are reserved for participants in Stitch n Pitch – infield reserve at $15.00 a ticket and bullpen reserve at $19.00 a ticket. In the common area, there will be vendors as well as CNKG displaying the Centennial Blanket. Anyone stopping by the CNKG table will receive a free ball of yarn courtesy of Jessica Knits. It is being looked into about having Centennial Blanket notecards available for order. Francine dispensed order forms and info about Stitch n Pitch to members.   Any questions regarding Stitch n Pitch please contact Francine.
PROGRAM: Sharing your favorite knitting book(s) – Martie Warden led the program with all members taking part in sharing their favorite knitting books – with the consensus being resource books. Book review forms were completed and given to Barb to include in a future newsletter.
For next month’s program, Martie will have a speaker present and a projector compatible with a laptop will be needed – if anyone has one to please let Martie know.
SHOW AND SHARE: Members shared their current projects as well as completed ones.
Meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,
Jennifer Wujcik
