Barb Hahn called the meeting to order at 6:30pm.
Martie reported that there was one internet inquiry. One visitor, Betty Jensen, joined today. There are three June birthdays, Larry Frazin, Marsha French and Cynthia Peplinski.
Georgia made a motion, seconded by Francine, to approve the minutes as posted on the Guild website.
Altruistic – Cathrine McClure: Cathrine reminded us of our current projects. Hats and scarves for Esperanza should be wool and natural fibers only. Navaho items should be washable and are due by the November meeting. They need sweaters, hats, ponchos and gloves. Project Linus needs washable blankets, particularly larger sizes. The North Valley Chapter has asked that we our name on our blanket.
Saturday, June 9, is “National Knit-in-Public” week. Jessica Knits will be at the Paradise Valley Mall from 11:00am to 2:00pm, in the middle of the mall at Center Court, across from Macy’s. Come on down and knit with them.
Stitch & Pitch is Saturday, July 28, at Chase Field. Francine is contacting Kristen Leetz, the Marketing/Sales Manager for the Diamondbacks, to figure out if CNKG wants to have a free table in a reserved area. More information will follow about the possibility of a block of seats.
Treasurer’s Report – Lisa Spaich: Since there was no activity in May, the balance as of May 31, 2012 remained at $3,249.38. Lisa reminded everyone that dues of $24 are due in June for the new fiscal year beginning July 1.
Barb will be doing the newsletter in July. Please send her any articles you want her to include.
Centennial Blanket – Cara currently has the blanket. It is available for showing. We are working on note cards with a picture of the blanket.
There was no new business
Program – Making Pockets
